Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Charlie Brisley #5042 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish Secured a Top-4 Overall Result Charlie covered 5.00 km in 14:32, averaging 2:54/km. He placed 4th overall out of 5,624 starters and won the Male Elite 1825 division, a strong result in a fast closed-road Canary Wharf 5K. His opening 2 km were especially sharp at 2:56 and 2:52, reaching 2 km in 5:48 and holding the overall lead early. The middle section eased slightly with 3:03 for km 3 and 3:01 for km 4, before he finished with the quickest kilometre of his race in 2:41 to move from 7th back up to 4th overall. That closing speed stands out. As a coaching note, sustaining a little more of the early rhythm through kilometres 3 and 4 could turn a strong finish into an even faster overall time.
