Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Archie Davies #5064 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish Secured an Elite Podium He covered 5.00 km in 14:29, averaging 2:53/km, and finished 2nd overall out of 5,624 runners. He also placed 2nd in the Male Elite field. Through 4 km he sat 4th overall, then closed with the quickest final kilometre of his race in 2:41/km to move up two places by the line. His kilometre splits were 2:56, 2:51, 3:04, 2:59, and 2:41. That last kilometre stands out: 23 seconds faster than kilometre 4 and 15 seconds faster than his opening kilometre. In an event known for fast evening racing through Canary Wharf, that finishing speed was a major asset. The main opportunity is in the middle section, where kilometres 3 and 4 drifted slightly versus his opening 2 km; tightening that segment could make an already strong performance even sharper.
