Strong Finish With Best Pace in the Final Kilometre Becky completed the 5K in 34:05, averaging 6:49/km. She placed 49th in the Female 5155 division out of a field of 5,624. Her pacing was steady overall across the full 5.0 km, with kilometre splits of 6:38, 6:43, 7:11, 6:59, and 6:36. The standout stat was the closing kilometre: 6:36/km, her quickest of the race and 35 seconds faster than kilometre 3. She also improved her division position from 50th at 1 km to 46th through 34 km before finishing 49th. That late lift is a good sign of controlled effort. As a coachs note, smoothing out the mid-race slowdown in kilometres 3 and 4 could bring the overall average down further on a fast evening 5K like Run The Wharf.
