Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Arthur De Fautereau #6648 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast, controlled 5K with a strong closing kilometre Arthur ran 5.00km in 19:14, averaging 3:50/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 224th overall, 109th among men, and an impressive 5th in the M51-55 division. That placed him in roughly the top 4% overall, with a particularly strong age-group result. His pacing was notably steady through 4km: 3:52, 3:52, 3:52, then 3:55. He then closed with his quickest kilometre at 3:46, improving places late and moving from 232nd at 4km to 224th at the finish. That finishing speed suggests good control and reserve. As a next step, aiming to hold that final-kilometre rhythm a little earlier could bring the overall time down further.
