Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Elspeth Isabella Gordon #6651 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Start, Then Settled Into a Steady 5K Elspeth Isabella Gordon ran 5.00 km in 28:30, averaging 5:42/km. She finished 2,125th of 5,624 overall, 670th woman, and 212th in the female 2630 category. Her fastest kilometre was the opening 1 km in 5:23, and she reached 2 km in 11:01 at 5:30/km average. From there, her pacing eased to 5:50 for km 3, 5:58 for km 4, then improved to 5:43 for the final kilometre. That late rebound is a useful positive, especially in a fast evening 5K built for rhythm through Canary Wharf. As a coachs note, aiming to keep the early 12 km closer to her overall average could help her hold more even pacing deeper into the race.
