Fast opening 2K, then a mid-race fade before a solid finish Andrew covered 5.00 km in 26:59, averaging 5:23/km at Run The Wharfs evening Canary Wharf 5K. He was 156th in the M3640 division and finished ahead of a large share of the 5,624 starters. His opening 2 km were the strongest segment: 5:11, then 5:18, reaching 2 km in 10:29. From there, pace eased to 5:29 for the third kilometre, and the fourth kilometre was the main outlier at 10:02, before he closed the final kilometre strongly enough to bring his overall average back to 5:23/km. The key coaching note is consistency: the first 2 km showed good speed, and reducing the drop across kilometres 34 would likely lead to a notably quicker 5K next time.
