Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Nicola Tin #5447 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong negative split with fastest final kilometre Nicola ran 5.0km in 25:07, averaging 5:01/km. She finished 25th in the Female 3640 division, 310th female, and 1308th overall out of 5624. Her pacing improved throughout: 5:16, 5:07, 4:59, 4:58, and 4:49 per km. That progression is the standout stat here: she cut 27 seconds from first to last kilometre and closed with her quickest split. She also moved from 35th to 25th in her division after the opening kilometre. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, this was a well-managed effort. As a coachs note, a slightly quicker opening kilometre could bring the overall time down further while keeping this strong finish.
