Quick Start, Steady Finish Over 5K Stas completed the 5K in 39:46, averaging 7:57/km. He placed 259th in the Male 3640 division out of a field of 5,624 overall runners. His fastest kilometre was the opener in 6:59, and he reached 2K in 14:43 at 7:21/km overall pace. After 2K, his middle section slowed with kilometres of 8:34 and 8:39, before he improved to 7:51 for the final kilometre. That late pickup is a good sign, especially in an evening Canary Wharf race built for speed and energy. From a coaching perspective, the main opportunity is pacing: a slightly more controlled first kilometre may help him hold a steadier rhythm through the middle and finish even stronger.
