Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Maria Giampetruzzi #7959 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Short Effort, Strong Speed Maria covered 0.30 km in 1:29, averaging 5:03/km. She passed 17 runners in the On Speed Zone and finished 322nd of 5,624 women overall, with 94th in the female 1825 division. For a brief effort, that pace is a useful speed marker. This event is part of Run The Wharfs fast evening setup through Canary Wharf, built for quick running. The key stat here is the pace: 5:03/km over 0.30 km. A good next step would be holding that speed across a longer segment in training so the speed-zone strength carries further into race efforts.
