Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Andrew Ascough #4513 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Fastest Through the Speed Zone with Strong Overall Efficiency Andrew covered 0.30 km in 1:16, averaging 4:19/km. The standout stat was the On Speed Zone result: he passed 68 runners through that section, showing good turnover and strong short-distance speed. He placed 74th in the Male 1825 category, 342nd among men, and 560th overall out of 5,624 participants. This was a brief effort, but the numbers point to effective pacing for the distance and a clear ability to accelerate relative to nearby runners. In an event built around a fast evening 5K atmosphere through Canary Wharf, that speed-zone gain was a notable positive. For future races, extending that same level of pace over a longer section would be a useful next step.
