Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Sophie Lavender #952 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Sharp speed through the zone with a top-quarter finish Sophie covered 0.30 km in 1:29, averaging 5:03 min/km. She passed 12 runners in the On Speed Zone and finished 1,339th of 5,624 overall, placing her in the top 24% of the field. Among women, she was 319th, also top 24%. In the Female 1825 division, Sophie placed 93rd. This short effort rewarded immediate pace, and 5:03 min/km over 0.30 km is a strong return for a speed segment folded into Run The Wharfs evening city-centre atmosphere. For future attempts, a small gain in early acceleration could turn a solid segment into an even more competitive one.
