Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Lionel Balaz #1592 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Short effort with sharp early speed Lionel covered 0.30 km in 1:19, averaging 4:28 min/km. He passed 3 runners during the On Speed Zone segment, a good sign of strong acceleration over a very short effort. Among 5,624 participants, he placed 681st overall, 425th among men, and 130th in the mens 2630 division. This was part of the Run The Wharf atmosphere in Canary Wharf, where the evening format rewards quick leg turnover. The key stat here is the pace: 4:28 min/km over 0.30 km shows solid speed. To build on this, focus on holding that turnover smoothly for longer segments in training and race efforts.
