Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Karl Bagherzadeh #7962 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Explosive speed over a very short effort Karl covered 0.30 km in 1:31, averaging 5:09/km. He passed 7 runners in the On Speed Zone, a good sign of strong acceleration through this segment. Against 5,624 participants, he placed 1,473rd overall, 948th among men, and 182nd in the mens 3135 division. This was a brief effort, so the most useful stat is the pace: 5:09/km over 300 metres. That points to solid top-end speed in a short, fast section of the Run The Wharf format through Canary Wharf. To build on this, the next step would be holding that speed across a longer distance while keeping the same efficiency.
