Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Emma-Jane Shearer #2029 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Fast start, strong percentile finish Emma-Jane covered 0.30 km in 1:40, averaging 5:38/km. She placed 2,075th of 5,624 overall, 634th female, and 209th in the female 2630 division. That puts her in roughly the top 37% of the field overall. This was a very short effort, so the key takeaway is speed: 5:38/km over 0.30 km shows good early pace. In a Friday-night city event known for its quick, closed-road atmosphere through Canary Wharf, that suits this kind of sharp effort well. For future races, extending that pace across a longer distance would be the next useful marker to track.
