Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: James Perkins #7972 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Explosive speed over a short effort James covered 0.30 km in 1:47, averaging 6:02/km. He logged 8 speed-zone passes, a notable stat for such a short run, showing quick acceleration and strong engagement throughout the effort. In a field of 5,624, he finished 2,528th overall. This Friday Night Lights showcase in Canary Wharf is built for fast, after-work running, and his numbers reflect a sharp burst rather than a sustained race effort. For future attempts, the key focus is extending that speed across a longer measured distance while holding a similar pace.
