Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Joseph Greenwood #2473 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Fast opening pace and a solid top-quarter finish Joseph covered 0.30 km in 1:31, averaging 5:09/km. In a large field of 5,624 runners, he finished 1,472nd overall, 947th among men, and 268th in the M2630 division. That places him ahead of roughly 74% of the field overall, a notable result in a mass-participation city event. This was a very short effort, so the key stat is speed: 5:09/km over 0.30 km shows good sharpness from the start. With no longer split data available, the main coaching takeaway is to build on that early pace and aim to hold it across a longer distance in future outings. Run The Wharfs evening closed-road setting in Canary Wharf is built for quick running, and he made efficient use of the format.
