In a field of 5,624, he placed 3,316 overall, 1,714 among men, and 464 in the M2630 division. For such a short effort, the key stat is how quickly he got up to speed and held it for the full segment. This was part of Run The Wharfs evening Canary Wharf setup, known for closed roads through the financial district. Over 300 metres, the focus is pure pace rather than endurance, and 6:52/km is a useful marker. A next step would be to work on sustaining that early speed over a longer distance so the same turnover carries further.
