Consistent Pace Secures Division Podium Finish Ryo Sugihara maintained an impressively consistent pace throughout the 2026 Seattle Marathon 10K event. Starting strong with a 7:00 min/mile pace for his first mile, Ryo managed to maintain near consistency, with all splits remaining between 7:00 and 7:32 min/mile. This steady effort culminated in a final time of 45:58 and secured him third place in his division (M50-59). While he placed 22nd in his gender category and 25th overall, his team, Yururanbu, can be proud of this performance. Although dropping a couple of places after the first mile, Ryo did well to regain his position by mile five. For future races, focusing on maintaining that initial brisk pace in the second mile could enhance overall performance. However, his consistent pacing throughout the rest of the race was quite commendable, particularly considering the field of 484 participants.
