Strong Performance with Divisional Win Geoffrey Njonjo delivered an exceptional performance at the 2026 Seattle Marathon | Summer Events 10K, finishing with an overall time of 33:57 and averaging a pace of 5:28 min/mile. He consistently maintained top positions throughout the race, repeatedly leading his division (M40-49) with a stellar first-place divisional finish. Notably, Geoffrey secured third overall and third among males, competing against 477 participants. His splits indicate remarkable consistency with an opening mile at 5:16 min/mile, demonstrating strategic pacing. A strong middle segment, where he ran the third mile in just 5:13, highlighted his capability to increase speed mid-race. The fifth mile at 5:03 demonstrated an impressive burst of speed. Although the last mile saw a slight slow to a 6:01 pace, maintaining position and effort was key to his excellent result.
