Consistent Start, Challenging Finish Darren began with impressive speed, holding a strong average pace of around 7:50 min/mile over the first five miles. Between miles 6 and 7, Darren continued to perform well, showcasing his potential by improving positions in the M20-24 division. A significant highlight was noticeable in mile 1 where his performance shone with a 7:53 pace. Post-mile 13, Darren experienced a notable slowdown with split paces stretching to over 10 minutes by mile 16. The final stretch showed recovery with a 9:01 pace in mile 26, resulting in a total time of 4:00:25, placing him 308th in his division. For future races, maintaining initial momentum through the later stages could help achieve an even more competitive finish. Excellent effort throughout the race. Keep focusing on endurance for the latter miles, as this could help in maintaining a steady finish.
