Fast, controlled half with a podium finish Saydi ran a terrific Half Marathon in 1:15:45, averaging 5:46 per mile and finishing 3rd woman. What stood out most was how well she established herself early: through 6 miles she was between 5:13 and 5:53 per mile, and by mile 3 she had already moved up to 2nd among women. Her first half of the race was especially sharp at 36:29, a 5:34 pace. She kept herself right in the mix all morning, staying either 2nd or 3rd woman the entire way and closing out 13th overall in a field of 3,607. The split at mile 8 shows real pop at 4:02, and after a slower 6:54 at mile 12, she answered with a steady 5:52 for mile 13 and a final 0.1 in 37 seconds. Thats the kind of composed finish that carries well down into town.
