Steady, fast marathon with a smart response after the climb Aaron ran a terrific St. George Marathon, finishing in 2:26:56 at 5:36 per mile and winning the M40-44 division. What stands out most is how controlled the whole day was. He opened with a sharp 34:43 first quarter at 5:18 pace, then handled miles 7 to 9right where the Veyo climb shows itselfin 5:11, 6:12, and 5:53 without letting the race get away from him. From there, he settled right back in. Miles 15 and 16 in 5:15 and 5:17 showed real strength, and he was up to 10th by mile 16 and 9th at miles 18 and 25. Even late, the rhythm stayed solid: the third quarter was his steadiest at 36:26, exactly 5:33 pace, and he still closed the final 0.2 at 5:45 pace to bring home a top-15 overall finish in a field of 5,987.
