Strong second half and a sharp run into town Kyle put together a very solid Half Marathon, finishing in 1:19:34 at 6:04 per mile, and the best part was how well he kept building. After a 6:33 opening mile, he settled quickly with 6:09, 5:37, 6:09, and 5:58 through mile 5, moving up to 20th overall by that point and into 2nd in his division. What stands out most is the strength over the back half: 40:05 for the first 6.55 miles, then 39:29 for the second half. That 6:01 pace after halfway shows he used the descent into town well and still had good legs late. He answered a slower mile 7 in 7:32 with a blazing 4:25 eighth mile, then stayed steady with 6:05, 6:05, 5:49, 6:13, 6:08, and a 0.1-mile close at 5:56 pace to secure 2nd in M25-29.
