Date: Oct. 3, 2026 Participant: Landon Flake #8044 Race: 2026 St. George Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Fast, steady running and a sharp finish in the Half Marathon Landon put together a strong St. George Half Marathon, winning the M25-29 division and finishing in 1:17:27 at 5:54 per mile. What stands out most is how controlled the whole race was: his first quarter was 18:41, then 19:37, 19:38, and a best closing quarter of 19:32. That is steady work over all 13.1 miles. He opened with real intent, including a 5:33 third mile, then stayed composed when the middle miles drifted into the 6:00 range. From there he settled back in with a 5:49 eighth mile, a 5:54 at mile 11, and closed with purpose: 5:55 for mile 13 and a final 0.1 at 4:44 pace. In a field of 3,607, moving back up to 14th overall by the finish showed he was still racing all the way into town.
