Fast, steady 5K with a sharp finish Jonathan put together a strong St. George Marathon 5K, covering 3.1 miles in 20:29 at 6:36 per mile. The best part was how controlled it looked early: 6:31 for mile 1, then right back with another 6:31 for mile 2. That kind of rhythm set him up for an excellent result, including 2nd in the M 2029 division and 7th overall out of 1002 runners. Even after a slower third mile in 6:54, he still found another gear to close. His final 0.1 came in 0:36, which works out to a 6:01 pace, a quick finish through town when the line was close. Holding top-10 position throughout and finishing with that kind of snap made this a really solid 5K effort.
