Date: Oct. 2, 2026 Participant: Casey Deeds #7393 Race: 2026 St. George 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast, steady 5K with a sharp finish Casey put together a strong 5K at Worthen Park, finishing in 22:27 at a 7:14 pace. The best part was how controlled the race looked early: back-to-back 7:08 miles to open kept her right near the front, sitting 18th overall and 2nd woman through 2 miles. In a field of 1,002, she came away 21st overall and 3rd among women. Even with the third mile stretching to 7:38, she still found another gear at the end, covering the final 0.1 in 36 seconds, a 6:00 pace. That kind of closing speed says a lot. This was a well-run evening 5Ksteady through the first two miles, competitive all the way, and finished with real intent.
