Date: Oct. 2, 2026 Participant: Stoney Cutchen #7463 Race: 2026 St. George 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast, steady 5K with a sharp closing kick Stoney put together an excellent 5K at Worthen Park, finishing in 16:27 at 5:18 per mile and taking 2nd overall out of 1,002 runners. What stands out right away is how controlled the race was early: 5:12 for mile 1, then right back with another 5:12 for mile 2, holding 2nd place the whole way. Even after a tougher third mile in 5:35, he still found another gear at the end, covering the final 0.1 in 30 seconds at a 5:03 pace. That kind of finish says a lot about his competitiveness and composure. In a short race where every second matters, opening with two nearly identical miles and then closing hard made for a strong, polished run on a big local stage.
