Date: Oct. 2, 2026 Participant: Melanie Moon #20137 Race: 2026 St. George Kids Run 1 Mile Distance: 1.0 miles
Blazing mile and a front-of-the-pack finish Melanie turned in a terrific Kids Run 1 Mile, covering the distance in 5:55 for a sharp 5:55 pace. She finished 4th overall out of 298 runners, and 2nd among girls, which says plenty about how confidently she raced from the start. For a one-mile effort, this was all speed and commitment at Worthen Park. Holding that 5:55 pace straight through to the finish takes real poise, and it put her right near the very front of a big field. Cedar City had a strong young runner on display in St. George.
