Date: Oct. 2, 2026 Participant: Charles Marsh #7642 Race: 2026 St. George 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast start and a sharp finish for a top-20 5K Charles put together a very solid 5K at Worthen Park, finishing in 22:11 at 7:09 per mile and placing 19th overall out of 1,002 runners. What stands out right away is how steady he was early: 6:41 for the first mile, then 6:41 again for mile two, holding 10th overall through 2 miles with a smooth 13:21 on the clock. The third mile stretched to 8:16, but he stayed after it and closed the final 0.1 in 35 seconds, which works out to a 5:54 pace. That late pickup says a lot about his effort over the closing stretch in town. Seventh in the mens 20-29 division and 17th among all men, this was a strong run with a crisp opening rhythm and a determined finish.
