Date: Oct. 2, 2026 Participant: Ahmad Parvinian #7099 Race: 2026 St. George 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast, steady 5K with a sharp finishing kick Ahmad put together a strong 5K at Worthen Park, finishing in 21:35 at a 6:57 pace. The best part was how controlled the race looked early: back-to-back 6:48 miles gave him a smooth, confident start, and he held 13th overall all the way through. He also ran himself to 2nd in the mens 3039 division in a field of 1,002. Even better, when the third mile drifted to 7:23, he still found another gear late. That final 0.1 came in 37 seconds, a 6:11 pace, which says plenty about the strength he had left at the line. In a short race, that kind of closing speed stands out.
