Date: Oct. 2, 2026 Participant: Adam Sims #7187 Race: 2026 St. George 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast finish and a podium age-group run Adam put together a sharp 5K in St. George, covering the 3.1 miles in 22:29 at 7:15 per mile. What stands out is how well he built the race: two steady opening miles in 7:30, then a strong third mile in 7:00. That late push moved him up from 33rd overall at mile 2 to 22nd by the finish. He closed especially well over the final stretch, covering the last 0.1 in 30 seconds, and that finishing speed matched the way he raced all eveningcontrolled early, then stronger as the line got closer. A top-25 overall finish out of 1,002 runners and 3rd in the M 3039 division made this a really solid day at the 5K.
