Date: Oct. 2, 2026 Participant: Jacob Weston #7526 Race: 2026 St. George 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady from the gun, sharp to the line Jacob put together a really polished 5K at Worthen Park, finishing in 21:10 at 6:49 per mile. The best part was how controlled it looked on paper: 6:50, 6:50, and 6:51 for the first three miles, which is about as even as it gets. That kind of rhythm usually means a runner knew exactly what he had and used it well. He also got stronger where it counted. Jacob moved from 14th overall through 2 miles to 9th by mile 3, then closed the final 0.1 at 6:44 pace. That late push brought him home 9th overall out of 1,002 runners and first in the mens 3039 division. On a flat Friday night 5K, thats a confident, well-judged run.
