Date: Oct. 2, 2026 Participant: Carter Jenkins #20249 Race: 2026 St. George Kids Run 1 Mile Distance: 1.0 miles
Fast mile, right near the front Carter put together a sharp Kids Run 1 Mile, covering the distance in 7:24 for a 7:24 pace and finishing 22nd overall out of 298 runners. He was 18th among the boys, and that kind of placing in a field this size says a lot about how well he moved from the start. In a one-mile race, there is nowhere to hide, and Carter handled it well all the way through. Every bit of that 7:24 counted, and holding that pace for the full mile at Worthen Park is a strong effort for a hometown runner. This was a confident, quick run and a fun one to see from a St. George kid.
