Date: Feb. 1, 2026 Participant: Madison Duong #1005 Race: 2026 Surf City Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Consistent Pacing with Top Division Finish Madison Duong displayed a strong performance in the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon. Over the 13.1 miles, she maintained an impressive average pace of 7:27 min/mile, culminating in a finish time of 1:37:40. Madison finished 6th in her F45-49 division, competing against a total of 12408 participants. Madison's pacing was remarkably consistent, with most miles clocked near the 7:25 min/mile mark, except for a notable split at the 8-mile mark with a time of 10:23 (10:23 min/mile pace). This suggests an area of focus might be sustaining that pace during more challenging segments. Her strong finish in the last segment at a 7:22 pace shows her ability to recover and push through. Great job maintaining such a solid average pace throughout the race. Keep up the consistent work, and consider addressing pacing strategies for tougher segments to improve further.
