Impressive Negative Split to Finish Strong Dan demonstrated a remarkable performance, completing the 2026 Surf City Marathon in 2:30:37 with an average pace of 5:44 min/mile. Initially starting with a conservative pace, the first three miles averaged around 9:25 min/mile. Interestingly, a distinct acceleration occurred during the second half of the race.
