Consistent Pace with Late Splits Needing Attention Mila Hose delivered a steady performance at the 2026 Surf City Marathon, maintaining a consistent pace for much of the race. Her early splits showed notable consistency, with a pace averaging around 8:30 min/mile for the first half of the course. The fastest pace was recorded in mile 5 at 8:15 min/mile. Impressively, Mila gained significant positions, moving up from 536th place in the first mile to a high of 317th place in the final mile. However, there was a visible slow down in the latter part of the race. Split times after the 21-mile mark, including a notable 11:29 min/mile at mile 23, suggest an area for future focus. Despite this, Mila secured a finish with an elapsed time of 3:51:57. Going forward, addressing the later miles could improve her already commendable race strategy.
