Strong Recovery with a Final Push Hannah Gultom, running in the 2026 Surf City 5K, exhibited a performance characterized by a fluctuating pace but strong finishing. The first mile was impressive at 8:05 min/mile, placing her 28th in the FUnder 15 category. A drop in pace occurred in the second mile, with a time of 9:59 min/mile, but she impressively moved up to 3rd in her division. The strategy shift after the second mile paid off, as she recorded a swift final mile with a split pace of 6:13 min/mile. Throughout the race, Hannah maintained her pace with an overall time of 24:47, achieving an average pace of 7:59 min/mile.
