Steady Pacing with a Strong Finish Shane Roma delivered a consistent performance in the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon. Starting with a 6:16 min/mile pace in the first mile, he maintained a steady split pace range between 6:15 and 6:20 min/mile over most of the course. An impressive highlight in Shane's run was his sixth mile with a split of 5:57 min/mile, his fastest of the race, demonstrating his ability to push the pace when needed. Throughout the event, Shane's placement shifted several times, positioning as high as 53rd overall during the fifth mile. With more focus on sustaining those peak paces and minimizing slower miles, such as the 6:37 min/mile in the 11th mile, further gains can be achieved. Finishing with a total time of 1:22:05 shows excellent endurance, particularly with a strong final mile at 6:01 min/mile. This dedication has earned him 9th place in his division.
