Consistent Pace and Strong Finish at Surf City Marathon Shae Barsam maintained a steady effort throughout the Surf City Marathon, completing the 26.2-mile race with a final time of 3:58:03 at an average pace of 9:05 min/mile. Her performance was remarkably consistent, with mile splits mostly hovering around her average pace. Particularly notable was her early pace improvement from 9:12 min/mile at mile 1 to a consistent sub-9-minute pace between miles 2 and 10. Shae impressively held her position within the top 20 in her division, ending at 20th in the F30-34 category. As the race progressed into the latter miles, pace slightly decreased, with split times reaching around 9:21 to 9:51 min/mile in the final miles 23 to 25.
