Steady Performance with Consistent Pace Alice Nash participated in the 2026 Surf City Marathon, finishing with a time of 4:08:09, placing 723rd overall out of 2517 participants. Her steady and consistent pace averaged 9:28 minutes per mile. Impressively, she entered the top 20 in her division, F 35-39, as well as placing 169th in the female category. The race consisted of 26.2 miles, with her pacing exhibiting minimal fluctuation, maintaining times between 9:14 and 10:05 minutes per mile across the splits. One notable highlight of her race strategy was her strong finish. She advanced significantly in her overall placing from the 19th mile onward, achieving a final division placement of 15th for the last mile. For potential improvement, the splits from mile 21 onward showed slight increases in pace time, suggesting those areas could benefit from targeted endurance training to prevent gradual slowing in pace during the latter part of the race, aiming for even stronger finishes in future events.
