Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Carley showed remarkable consistency throughout the Surf City Marathon with an average pace of 8:31 min/mile. Her initial splits hovered around this pace, with slight variations but always close to the target. Notably, she delivered her fastest pace of 8:05 min/mile between miles 15 and 16, reflecting her energy management skills. Her tenth mile displayed significant progress, where she was ranked 25th among females overall, boosting her standing. Towards the end, Carley maintained resilience, evidenced by consistently strong splits, even as her pace slightly declined in the latter portion of the race. She placed impressively well within her division, finishing in 3rd place for her age category during the last split. To maximize potential, a focus on sustaining the impressive early and mid-race pace into the final miles could further enhance overall positioning and time. Great effort deserves recognition and a little strategic pacing adjustment might yield even faster results!
