Consistent Early Splits but Slowed in Second Half Scott maintained a solid pace in the first 10 miles, showing a consistent time hovering around the 7:22 to 7:27 min/mile range. The pace slightly fluctuated but was commendably steady, with his fastest split at mile 5 at 7:16. During the early stages, his ranking showed a tight competition, with positions shifting between 117th and 157th overall. From mile 12 onwards, there was a noticeable pace adjustment, with splits reaching above 8 min/mile as fatigue potentially set in. This trend was apparent in the final 6 miles where pace gradually increased to 8:53 min/mile. Ending in a final time of 3:23:24, Scott's determination is notable. Exploring strategies to maintain early paces longer could yield improved results.
