Consistent Pace with Strong Finish Nolan Ridgeway delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon, maintaining an average pace of 6:40 minutes per mile over the 13.1-mile course. Starting with a strong first mile at 6:28 minutes, he managed to keep his pace under 6:36 for the majority of the race. Notably, his 12th and 13th miles picked up slightly with both at 6:30, contributing to a successful finish time of 1:27:21. Throughout, he maintained consistent placement within his division, finishing 30th out of his age group at M25-29. A significant highlight is Nolan's ability to maintain and recover his pace even as placement changes occurred throughout the race. Between miles 5 and 6, for example, he not only improved his position from 79th to 118th overall but showed resilience by concluding his race at 94th place in the final split, indicating a well-managed energy reserve for a strong finish. Continuing to focus on sustaining this strong mid-section pace could enhance future results.
