Consistent Start, Slower Finish Lindsey Trujillo showcased a strong and consistent start in the 2026 Surf City Marathon with her initial splits ranging between 7:51 min/mile to 8:07 min/mile. At the 10-mile mark, her pace averaged around 8:00 min/mile, marking a stable performance early in the race. She maintained a strong position within the top five of her division, demonstrating her competitive edge. However, in the latter stages, particularly beyond the 17-mile mark, a gradual decline in speed was observed with split times extending up to 10:32 min/mile. From the 20-mile point onward, the race became more challenging, affecting her final finish with an overall pace of 8:47 min/mile. Although finishing 10th in her division shows her ability, maintaining early pace in the latter parts of the race could offer improvement. Focus on sustaining endurance might help enhance Lindseys future performances.
