Consistent Pace and Top Division Finish Serena Peters demonstrated remarkable consistency and excellent pacing throughout the 2026 Surf City Marathon. She maintained an average pace of 7:45 min/mile, culminating in a commendable finish time of 3:23:04. Impressively, she secured 1st place in the F30-34 division, showcasing her competitive edge in this age category. Notably consistent, Serena delivered quick splits with most miles being close to her overall pacing mark. During the latter part of the race, especially between miles 21 and 24, Serena faced slightly increased split times, with the highest split at mile 24 recorded at 8:36 min/mile. However, she managed a strong finish, clocking her final mile at a quicker pace of 7:29 min/mile. This ability to close the race strongly is an extremely positive aspect of her performance. Future focuses could include maintaining that early consistency through the entire race for even better results.
