In the latter stages of the marathon, Riley experienced a gradual slowdown, with split times extending beyond 9 minutes per mile, culminating in 9:04 for mile 26. Despite this challenge, she completed the race as the 16th in her age division out of 2517 total participants, showcasing her ability to endure and adapt.
