Consistent and Strong Pace Achieved Byung Lim completed the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon with a noteworthy overall time of 1:28:10, demonstrating remarkable consistency with an average pace of 6:43 min/mile over the 13.1-mile course. Throughout the race, Byung managed to maintain a steady pace, showing a slight improvement in the latter stages. The fastest split occurred between miles 4 and 5 with a time of 6:26, and again near the end with a notable 6:34 split between miles 11 and 12. Impressively, Byung maintained a consistent position within the top portion of competitors, finishing 5th in his M45-49 division. While his standings fluctuated slightly, Byung's strategic pacing enabled him to climb from 7th to 5th in his division by the race's conclusion. The final push in the last few miles showed determined effort, finishing 113th overall in the male category, which reflects robust stamina and disciplined performance.
