Impressive Pace Consistency Despite Late Challenges Holly Slough showcased an excellent performance in the 2026 Surf City Marathon. Starting strong, she completed the first mile with an impressive 7:37 pace, maintaining a top position through most of the race. Holly kept her place as the 1st female among her division for nearly 19 miles. Her elapsed paces remained consistently under 9:00 min/mile through mile 18, demonstrating strategic pacing with a keen eye on consistency. Despite a slight dip in speed after mile 19, Holly transitioned with grace by remaining in 2nd place overall for her division. She completed the race in a commendable time of 3:54:34, registering an average pace of 8:57 min/mile. Specifically, the late miles spiked to a pace just over 10:00, indicating potential areas for focus in endurance training.
