Maintained Momentum with Strong Performance Fluctuations Cael demonstrated impressive control and pacing throughout the half marathon, consistently ranking in the top five overall. Notably, he achieved his fastest split at the 3rd mile with a time of 7:40, marking significant improvement in speed compared to his starting pace of 7:56. His performance climbed to its peak at the 5-mile mark, where he secured 1st place in his division, indicating strategic effort and speed. Although his pace decreased slightly past the halfway mark, reaching a slower peak of 9:23 during mile 11, Cael consistently held his position, finishing overall 4th in both the general and male categories. His final elapsed time was 1:51:19, at an average pace of 8:29 minutes per mile. To enhance future performances, a focus on maintaining middle splits' pace could be beneficial for sustaining initial gains and further elevating finishing positions.
