Consistent Pacing and Strong Placement Soledad Corral's performance at the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon showcased an excellent balance of consistent pacing and strong placement. Finishing with an official time of 1:59:37, she maintained an overall pace of 9:07 min/mile. Impressively, she secured 3rd place in her gender category out of 26 participants and achieved 11th place overall. Starting strong, Soledad maintained an impressive pace under 8:30 min/mile for the first four miles, progressively climbing the ranks in her gender and overall standings. While her pace slightly slowed in miles 5 and 6, she demonstrated resilience by picking up her speed again in mile 7 with an 8:13 min/mile split. In the final mile, even though her overall elapsed pace seemed slower, she hit her fastest split at 7:59 min/mile. Considering her placement and pacing consistency, future focus might be placed on sustaining that early pace in later miles to enhance overall performance. Great job overall!
